With the increasingly disturbing prevalence of injustice in Nigerian society, and having had a first-hand experience of police brutality himself, he resolved to pursue his academics relentlessly in order to become a beacon of light for the oppressed in society. As a young child, Gospel, just like his siblings, learned to support his family by taking up menial jobs as a way of contributing to the family purse. His rough childhood experience instilled in him the virtues of hard work, responsibility and resilience—values that have helped him navigate the vicissitudes of life. Upon graduating from Rivers State University, Gospel plans to purse a graduate degree from a Nigerian law school, and hopes to leverage his training as a lawyer to address injustice in Rivers State.
