Applications are currently being accepted for Kponee-Shovein scholars awards and for the Josephine Kponee fellowship award. Applications will be accepted until November 30, 2025.
The Kponee-Shovein scholarship award is open to students completing their first degree at universities in Nigeria. Each year, the foundation funds one-year full tuition scholarships plus a stipend to universities in Nigeria. The Kponee-Shovein scholars award is only available for students pursing bachelors degrees, and is not available for post graduate education.

The Josephine Kponee fellowship award is limited to Ogoni females that plan on completing their first degree at a university in Nigeria. Inspired by Josephine Kponee, an Ogoni woman who valued education in young women, the award strives to empower promising young Ogoni women. Each year, the foundation will award a phenomenal Ogoni student with a full tuition scholarship over the course of their academic program and payment of a yearly stipend for academic materials and necessary living expenses.
