  • Need, especially in cases where the candidate would be unable to pursue education absent support.
  • Demonstrated academic ability, as by standardized test scores, previous accomplishments, and recommendations.
  • Leadership and commitment to the uplifting of the Ogoni people, the Nigerian nation, and the African continent.

The top applicants from each cycle will be designated “finalists” and will participate in an interview with the organization founders. The award recipient, selected from the top finalists, will be notified by the end of each year, and must have an in-person interview in Port Harcourt with the Chief Operating Officer to receive stipend and tuition support. Additionally, she must have her school ID card, local government identification letter, and tuition statement verified by the Chief Operating Officer to receive tuition support. She will begin to receive stipend and tuition support from the program in the beginning of each academic year.
