The Kponee-Shovein Scholars Award was created with the purpose of sponsoring academic, research, and technological projects in support of higher education for Rivers State indigenes. Each year, the foundation funds one-year full tuition scholarships plus a stipend to universities in Nigeria. The Kponee-Shovein scholars award is only available for students pursing bachelors degrees, and is not available for post graduate education.
Previous recipients of the award may apply again during the next cycle by sending an updated academic transcript showing they remain in good standing and a brief essay (1,000 words max) describing how the Kponee-Shovein scholarship has contributed to their academic success and overall well being.
