The Josephine Kponee Fellowship Award was created with the purpose of sponsoring academic, research, and technological projects in support of higher education for Ogoni women. Inspired by Josephine Kponee, an Ogoni woman who valued education in young women, the award strives to empower promising young Ogoni women. Each year, the foundation will award a phenomenal Ogoni student with a full tuition scholarship over the course of their academic program and payment of a yearly stipend for academic materials and necessary living expenses.
